Jose Camelo - President 2009-2010

I am an international student majoring in power plant operation. I'm planning on going to the University of Florida for business management. I've been a member of Phi Theta Kappa since the winter induction of 2009. I also belong to the International Club, and the Latinos Unidos Club.I love to help people, and do good things for the community. I'm looking forward to gaining experience in leadership skills to bring back to Colombia with me. I am very excited to be a part of Phi Theta Kappa to learn and participate in ways to improve communities.I am proud to have been elected president, and I think we have a really great team.

Dr. Jody Peterson - Advisor & Regional Coordinator

I earned my Bachelor's degrees in history and political science in addition to a Master's degree in European History from the University of North Texas (a really long time ago!). I then attended Washington State University to earn a Ph.D. in American History. After teaching for several 2- and 4- year schools, I landed at Centralia College in 1998. I become involved in Phi Theta Kappa in 2001 and became the lead advisor in 2004. My main interests beyong history and government include reading and sleeping. And if I wasn't a teacher, I would most likely be working as a chef in a restaurant decorated with flamingos!

I am excited to be serving the Greater Northwest Region as the Regional Coordinator and as the Iota Omega Chapter's Advisor. Although it may seem far away, we only have 2 years until our region yet again hosts the International Convention - Seattle, here we come in 2011!
